Sometimes you have to put yourself in other people’s shoes to really understand the hardships of their souls.
- Kellie Elmore

I always look at people’s shoes first. A person’s shoes can talk. They tell you a lot about the wearer, but what they say is limited. They choose to keep a lot hidden too. If you have on Sperrys without socks, your family probably owns an expensive house (or, at least you want other people to think they do). If you are wearing Vans, there’s a solid chance you own a skateboard. What people wear asserts how they want to be viewed by others. But maybe I’m overanalyzing it.

I’ve built my whole life on empathy. Putting yourself in other people’s shoes goes a long why towards understanding why somebody does something, I think it was a gift but I was wrong, I have known a few empaths that use their gift not to help, but to manipulate others with their gift. which I find disgusting, it sometimes is just the fear of being misunderstood, so I gave up trying to understand people. Ah I don’t think so, I still care but maybe not in an honest and direct way.

A friend constantly judge me why am I always buying expensive art tools or starbucks, he always judge my choices, he said i’m just wasting my money. I’m just quiet, but if I can explain to him, “yaa at least at starbucks I will be served very friendly, vanilla frappuccino was really nice which was served by a very friendly barista”. I had rough start in life so different from now, struggle to get here, if he felt my old dry and worn shoes, maybe he wouldn’t judge me.

You can’t really understand another person’s until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes, please be kind everyone has untold stories of pain and sadness that make them love and live a little differently than you do.

So many support and love for me to deal with this shit, someone text me at 4 am and tell me I’m not alone, a friend asks me to go to a concert with him, other friends make some party for me and many more. Thank you for make it easy for me, I can never thank you enough for you guys, thank you for walking in my shoes.
